Kolkata Doctor Murder Case: The accused of murdering and sexually assaulting a female trainee doctor at a government hospital in Kolkata has confessed his crime. Kolkata Police sources have given this information. A porn video has also been found in the mobile of accused Sanjay Roy. According to sources, Sanjay Roy is known as a civic police. It was originally created to assist the police in Bengal and was also part of the Police Welfare Board. This is the reason why he could easily come and go to the hospital. He was seen entering the hospital at around 4 am. In the CCTV footage, he is seen questioning the police.
News18 quoted sources as saying that the accused’s earphones were a very important clue as he was wearing them when he entered the hospital. However, when he came out, the earphones were not there. Sources say that the police seized the earphones. This helped them solve the case.
Let us tell you that Roy was arrested on Saturday and sent to 14 days of police custody. The accused was charged under sections 64 (rape) and 103 (murder) of the BNS and was produced in the Sealdah court. There he was sent to police custody till August 23.
In a post on Twitter, the Raj Bhavan said Governor CV Anand Bose has asked the state government to take immediate action in the matter and submit a report. “HG has asked the State Government to take immediate action in the matter and submit a report. CM Mamata demanded death penalty for the accused
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has vowed to seek the death penalty for the culprit in the case. Banerjee, known for her strong opposition to the BJP seeking probes by central agencies into various corruption cases in Bengal, said her government would have no objection to a CBI inquiry if the students and families demand it.
“If they don’t trust the West Bengal government, they can approach any investigating agency. We have no objection,” he said, directing officials to expedite the trial by taking the case to a fast-track court.
