S Jaishankar World Prediction: Many countries of the world are facing various challenges due to tension between Israel-Iran and the fierce war going on in Russia and Ukraine. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed concern over the terrible picture constantly emerging in the world. He said during a program on Tuesday that the war between Ukraine and Russia has been going on for two and a half years. Meanwhile, military tensions, economic challenges and climate change incidents in the Middle East, Southeast Asia are very dangerous. He said that the coming five or ten years are going to be very difficult. Jaishankar said on the presidential election in America that whoever wins the election to be held in November, the Narendra Modi government of India is ready to work with them.
During an event in Delhi on Tuesday, the Foreign Minister was asked how do you see the future of events happening in the world? In response, Jaishankar said, “I am an optimistic person and generally think about solutions to problems, not about the problems that arise from solutions. But I would say very seriously that we are going through a very difficult phase.”
Jaishankar further said, “I have a very grim forecast for the next five years. You see what is happening in the Middle East, in Ukraine, in South East and East Asia. Apart from this, the effect of Covid is still continuing. We who have come out safely from that terrible phase of Corona are now taking it lightly.”
Jaishankar said, “You are seeing the kind of economic challenges in the world. More countries are struggling than ever before. Trade is getting difficult, there is a shortage of foreign currency.” He expressed concern over the conflict in Gaza and the increasing incidents of continuous looting of commercial ships in the Red Sea by Iran-backed Houthi militia. Jaishankar said, “What is happening in the Red Sea and climate related events … are no longer just news … they are having devastating consequences globally.”
What did Jaishankar say on the US elections
Jaishankar declined to discuss the US election. He said, “We do not comment on elections of other countries. The Americans will make their decision and we are confident that based on the experience of the last 20 years, we can work with the new President… whoever he is.”
It is worth noting that there is a direct contest between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump in the 2024 US presidential election. Earlier, the ruling party Democrats had fielded Joe Biden in the election, but due to his advancing age, he withdrew his name and Kamala Harris’s name was approved. Experts in the matter are predicting a tough contest between the two candidates. However, Trump has an upper hand in the election. It is expected that Trump may become president for the second time.
