Part of the plot of the Hollywood film “Black Widow” has been repeated by Russian spies. As a result of a historic prisoner exchange, the United States, Russia, Belarus, and Germany released the citizens of other countries imprisoned in their countries. Daniel and Sofia, the children of a Russian spy couple who were released in this exchange, had no idea who their parents were. In fact, their parents were undercover Russian spies pretending to be Argentine immigrants in Slovenia. Anna Dultseva and Artem Dultseva were later arrested on charges of espionage.
According to a CNN report, their two children Sofia and Daniel were brought with them from Turkey to Moscow on Thursday. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the children came to know about their nationality only when they took off from Ankara. Interestingly, as soon as they landed in Moscow, they were greeted by Russian President Vladimir Putin in Spanish as they did not know Russian. Peskov said that the children were unaware of who Putin was, when Putin welcomed them, the children asked their parents who it was who greeted them.
Earlier, as soon as the plane’s door opened, Russian spy Anna held back her tears and hugged the Russian President. Putin also welcomed her very warmly. He also welcomed Anna and all the other released Russians.
According to reports, a total of eight people, including Krasikov (a famous Russian assassin), were sent back to Russia in exchange for 16 people detained in Russia. Both Dultsev and Dultseva were convicted of espionage in a Ljubljana court. They were sentenced to serve time in prison.
