On Sunday, people from the Muslim community organized a meeting at Parade Ground in Dehradun to protest against the alleged comments on Islam’s Prophet Mohammad. Thousands of people from the community gathered in the Shan-e-Risalat meeting organized by Muslim Seva Sangathan, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Imam Sangathan.
Ulema and organizers demanded the central government to make a strict law against comments against any religion or religious leader. If this is not done in three months, a march to Delhi was announced. Along with this, a demand was raised to take strict action against the person who made indecent comments in Maharashtra.
The meeting was presided over by Shahar Qazi Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Qasmi, conducted by Patron Asif Hussain, General Secretary Saddam Qureshi, Vice President Aqib Qureshi. During this Maulana Abdul Mannan, Syed Ashraf Hussain Qadri, Mufti Huzaifa, Mufti Tahir etc. were present.
Barelvi-Deobandi on one platform: People of Deobandi and Barelvi sects were seen on the same stage. Deputy city Qazi Sunni Sayyed Ashraf Hussain Qadri said that in the love of the Prophet, all the grievances will be forgotten and people will stand under one flag pole. Any disrespect against the Prophet will not be tolerated.
The tricolour was waved and the message of peace was given: A large number of people who attended the meeting had brought the tricolour. On the appeal of the Ulema, people gave the message of peace and returned to their homes.
will never let peace be disturbed
Organization’s president Naeem Qureshi, vice president Aqib Qureshi said that the way Islam is being continuously defamed, it is being done under an agenda. Such people want to spoil the atmosphere of the country by inciting religious sentiments. But peace will never be allowed to be disturbed. Nor will their plans be allowed to succeed.
Rally cancelled, surveillance through drones
Earlier there was a program of rally from Parade Ground to DM office, but police persuaded and cancelled the rally and organized a meeting. Police from many police stations were present on the spot. Surveillance was done through drones. City Magistrate Pratyush Singh and SP City Pramod Kumar took the memorandum.
Government should take strict action
Imam Organization President and Jamiat’s District Chief Mufti Rais Ahmed Qasmi said that the government should take strict action against those who insult the Prophet. A strict law should be made for this. When he praised the cooperation of DM, SSP, SP City, there was applause.
Shahar Qazi said, respect every religion
Shahar Qazi Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Qasmi reached despite his ill health. He said that we too have nurtured Gulshan by giving our blood. We have as much right as you have. He said that every religion contributed equally in the freedom of India. All religions should be respected.
