Trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar Summon: Controversial trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar has been summoned by the Pune Police to appear on Thursday (July 18) and record her statement in connection with allegations of harassment against the Pune District Magistrate. This information was given by a senior official on Wednesday. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has confirmed that Pooja Khedkar has been asked to come to Pune to record her statement.
When asked about this, Pune District Magistrate Suhas Divase said, “I am not aware of any such complaint against me. No one has told me about this. So there is no question of reacting. I came to know about this complaint only from media reports.”
Let us tell you that on Tuesday, Khedkar had lodged a complaint at Washim police station accusing Pune District Collector Suhas Diwas of harassment. On Monday, women police personnel reached Khedkar’s residence in Washim, where he lodged a complaint of harassment against Pune District Collector Suhas Diwas. Earlier in the day, Khedkar refused to give detailed information when asked about the reasons for the policemen coming to his house while talking to TV news channels. He said, “I called the women police personnel because I had some work.”
Pooja Khedkar has been in the news for the last several days. She is accused of allegedly using fake disability and OBC certificates to get selected in the civil services. Apart from this, she is also under investigation for her conduct at the Pune Collector’s Office during training. Amidst these controversies, the government has postponed Pooja Khedkar’s ‘District Training Program’ and directed her to return to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration for “necessary action”.
