Vajpayee remembered on death anniversary, President and Prime Minister paid tribute by going to ‘Sadaiv Atal’

Today is the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar paid tribute to him by visiting the ‘Sadaiv Atal’ memorial. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with all the Union Cabinet ministers and senior BJP leaders paid tribute to him.

Union ministers Manohar Lal Khattar, Piyush Goyal and Giriraj Singh also paid tribute to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary at the ‘Sadaiv Atal’ memorial.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, one of the country’s most prominent leaders and a founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), died on August 16, 2018 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after a prolonged illness. He was 93 years old at that time.

Vajpayee served the country as Prime Minister thrice. He first became Prime Minister in 1996. After this, he took over the reins of the country in 1998 and 2004. Let us tell you that the country celebrates his birthday (25 December) as ‘Good Governance Day’. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 2014.
