IMD Rain Alert: Amidst heavy rains across the country, the Meteorological Department has predicted on Thursday that there may be very heavy rains in many states for the next three days. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Gujarat, Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh today and in eastern Rajasthan and Uttarakhand for the next three days. Talking about the states of West and Central India, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa may receive very heavy rainfall on September 5. Apart from this, heavy rains are going to continue in Chhattisgarh for the next seven days, while heavy rains may occur in Madhya Maharashtra from September 6 to 10, Goa from September 5-10, Saurashtra and Kutch from September 5 and 6, Gujarat from September 5 to 8, Madhya Pradesh from September 6 to 8, East Madhya Pradesh from September 5, Vidarbha from September 8-11.

Talking about the states of South India, rain is going to continue in the areas of Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Coastal Karnataka. Out of this, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam will receive very heavy rainfall on September 5, while Kerala, Mahe may receive heavy rainfall on September 8-11, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on September 6-8, Telangana on September 5 to 8, Coastal Karnataka on September 5 to 9.

For eastern and northeastern India, the Meteorological Department says that the rain will continue in Odisha, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand. Arunachal Pradesh may receive very heavy rains on September 5, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on September 11, Assam, Meghalaya on September 7, Odisha on September 7 and 8. Apart from this, heavy rains may continue in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram for the next seven days, Bihar may receive heavy rains on September 5 and 6, Jharkhand on September 7-9, Odisha on September 5-9, Arunachal Pradesh on September 5, 6, 10 and 11.

For North West India, the Meteorological Department says that Uttarakhand may receive very heavy rainfall on September 5 and 6, and eastern Rajasthan on September 5 and 7. Apart from this, heavy rain will continue in Uttarakhand between September 5 and 7.
