Vivo to Launch T3 Pro 5G Next Week in India, May Get 50 Megapixel Sony Primary Camera

Vivo, one of the big smartphone companies, will launch T3 Pro in the country next week. It will replace the T2 Pro 5G introduced last year. It will have a 3D curved display. This smartphone may have Snapdragon chipset. The price of T3 Pro 5G can be kept less than Rs 25,000.

The company has informed in a media invite that this smartphone will be launched on August 27. Vivo And a teaser of this smartphone has been given through a separate microsite on the websites of e-commerce site Flipkart. It will be made available in orange color and vegan leather finish. It will have dual stereo speakers. This smartphone will have a 3D curved AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness level of 4,500 nits. Its display has a hole punch design. This smartphone may have a Snapdragon chipset.

This smartphone can have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. It can have a 5,500 mAh battery with 80 W FlashCharge wired charging support. It was recently seen on the benchmarking website Geekbench. This smartphone can be brought as a rebranded version of iQOO Z9s Pro.

In the first half of this year, smartphone shipments grew by 7.2 percent year-on-year to around 6.9 crore units. In the second quarter, smartphone shipments grew by about 3.2 percent to around 3.5 crore units. According to a report by market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), many new smartphones have been launched in the second quarter. Most of these were in the mid-premium and premium segments. However, in the second quarter, shipments of entry-level smartphones (priced below Rs 8,400) declined by 36 percent year-on-year. The market share of these segments has come down from 22 percent in the same quarter last year to around 14 percent. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has the highest share in this segment. It is followed by Poco and Realme. The entry-premium segment of smartphones (price around Rs 16,800 to Rs 33,500) has seen the highest growth of 42 percent. China’s Oppo is at the forefront in this. After this are Vivo and South Korea’s Samsung.
