What is Samudrayaan Mission india launch date Matsya 6000 submarine

The most talked about thing in India’s space sector at present is the Gaganyaan mission. Under the mission, for the first time, astronauts will be sent on a three-day space journey from Indian soil. But our scientists are working on another mission. If reports are to be believed, along with Gaganyaan, work is also going on on Samudrayaan, which will be India’s first deep sea mission and scientists will also dive into the sea.

The submarine that will be used in this mission has been named Matsya-6000. According to India Today report, ISRO is developing important modules of this mission.

That module will house the crew, along with life support systems and other essential items. The module is being made from titanium, whose thickness will be 80 mm. According to the report, because the module is made of titanium, the capability required for its welding is available only to ISRO.

ISRO’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Center Facility (VSSC) was given the responsibility to complete this task. It is said that to complete the work VSSC had to make some modifications to its machinery. The module has been designed in such a way that it can withstand pressure up to a depth of 6 thousand meters below sea level.

India lacks such facilities in which the modules can be tested. According to the report, it will be tested in St. Petersburg, Russia. The work on the module can be completed in the next few months, which will be handed over to the National Institute of Ocean Technology. This institute is leading the entire mission. If India succeeds, it will join the list of countries like America, Russia, France, Japan and China, which have sent scientists in deep sea missions.
