Giving this information, police officials said that challan of vehicles is issued on the spot by the traffic police personnel, whereas notice for violation of traffic rules is prepared and sent online through cameras. How many challans were made last year?

According to information received from Delhi Traffic Police, a total of 87,430 challans have been registered till September this year. In earlier years the number of challans was quite high. 66,774 challans were registered in the year 2023 and 67,462 challans were registered in the year 2022. In such a situation, the figures till September this year are much higher than previous years.

Where were the maximum challans made?

According to official information received from Delhi Traffic Police, the highest number of challans have been issued in New Delhi district. According to data till September 15 this year, challans for 17,741 vehicles have been issued in New Delhi district. In this case, South Delhi is at second place and West Delhi is at third place. 11,211 and 10,109 challans have been issued in both the districts respectively. Apart from this, 8,719 challans have been registered in South-East Delhi, 6,790 in South-West Delhi. Both stood fourth and fifth respectively.

Delhi Traffic Police said that according to the data till September 15 this year, notices have been issued to 3,12,541 people. Last year this figure was 5,90,227 and in 2022 it was 10,11,018. Western district of Delhi is at the forefront in terms of notices. 59,762 notices have been issued here. In this case the South is also nearby. Here the traffic police has issued notices to 55,562 people. Apart from this, notices have been issued to 51,446 people in the South-West district and 44,750 people in the North.
