Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is once again in the news for his statement. Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has raised the question why only the word priest of lust is used and not Maulvi of lust. He said that Muslims never insult Maulvis, but such words were filled in the minds of Hindus in a sponsored manner. Muslim religious leaders have expressed objection to the question of Bageshwar Baba. Maulana Shahabuddin of All India Muslim Jamaat has called Dhirendra Krishna’s statement hateful.

Maulana Shahabuddin said in a video message that Dhirendra Krishna Shastri always says objectionable things. He said, ‘This reflects his attitude and his thinking. Being a religious person, he speaks such nonsense against the preachers of religion, he should be ashamed. They should always say good things, they should say such things which can be a lesson for the people. But he always says things which are objectionable. They have put the preachers of all religions, whether Hindu or Muslim, in the dock.
