Mumbai Police DCP Zone 1 Praveen Munde said in a video message, “The Indian cricket team is arriving in Mumbai on Thursday after winning the T20 World Cup. A Vijay Yatra is being taken out in an open bus. It will be held on Marine Drive between Nariman Point and Wankhede Stadium from 5-7 pm. If you want to join the procession, please reach before 4:30 pm and gather on the promenade side, not on the road. If you want to attend the 7 pm event at Wankhede Stadium, please ensure that you reach the stadium before 6 pm and take your seats. Please try to use public transport to avoid traffic.”

Many routes diverted
A traffic notification issued by the Mumbai Police said that as per the instructions, parking will be prohibited on the roads for July 4. Police said that both the boundaries of the Coastal Road will remain open for traffic. Traffic before and after the Coastal Road will be diverted via Princess Street Bridge/Meghdoot Bridge. Mumbai Police said that on Thursday, seven roads in south Mumbai will be completely closed for vehicular movement to prevent any kind of traffic jam.
