One Report According to the Herrerasauridae family, dinosaurs were among the earliest carnivorous dinosaurs found on earth. The remains found by scientists are estimated to be 8 feet long. The fossil was discovered by the team of paleontologist Rodrigo Tem of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM).
Scientists have been doing research at the place where the fossil was discovered for about 20 years. Fossils of dinosaurs have been found here earlier as well. Due to heavy rains in the area in recent times, there was massive erosion of the soil, after which the fossils became visible. Initially, scientists thought that there would be some bones, but as the excavation was done there, the entire dinosaur was revealed.
The discovery is also important because this is the first time scientists have found such an old fossil. Before this, a 231 million year old fossil has been discovered. Scientists will now study this dinosaur so that they can get more information about the life of early dinosaurs. It is believed that the destruction caused by an asteroid collision several million years ago wiped out the dinosaurs from this earth. Dinosaurs were both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Their remains have been found all over the world.
