A new and shocking situation has arisen in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Recently Ukraine has made an aggressive attack on Russia, which has not only raised concern for Putin but has also surprised the Western countries. After this attack, Russia has taken important steps to strengthen its security system and secure the Kursk region.
Russia’s fortress is in trouble due to the attack from Ukraine
According to US sources, Ukrainian forces launched a fierce attack on Kursk, forcing Russia to withdraw thousands of its troops from the Ukrainian front. These troops are now deployed on Russia’s main eastern front. The Ukrainian attack on Kursk has dealt a severe blow to Russia’s security system. After this attack, Russia has deployed troops of at least 1,000 soldiers in the region.
Following the recent attack, Ukraine has temporarily occupied about 386 square miles of territory in Kursk. Ukrainian troops have evicted Russian forces from key Russian military sites such as Kharkiv, Pokrovsk, and Toretsk. This situation has further increased Russia’s security concerns.
At the same time, America has advised Ukraine not to launch major attacks in the southern or eastern directions of Russia this year, because Russia’s defense system is very good. American newspaper ‘The New York Times’ gave this information on Thursday. The newspaper’s report said that after diverting Russia’s attention on the Kursk region, Ukraine is unlikely to have enough security forces to achieve success by attacking in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The Ukrainian army crossed the Russian border on August 6 and launched an offensive operation in the Kursk region. Commenting on the attack, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine has committed another large-scale provocation by indiscriminate firing on civilian targets. He said that the enemy will get a befitting reply in the border areas of Russia.
Russia deployed thousands of soldiers in Kursk
“We have seen some Russian units redeploying from around Ukraine to the Kursk region. However, it is unclear how many troops have been deployed,” White House national security spokesman John Kirby said. Russia has sent a large number of military conscripts to defend Kursk.
However, the loss of a few thousand soldiers is unlikely to have a major impact on the Ukrainian front, as Russia has millions of troops there. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian logistics hub Pokrovsk has also come under particular pressure. The local military administration has appealed to residents to evacuate, making the situation even more tense.
