Amid the controversy over Tirupati Balaji’s laddus, CJI DY Chandrachud reached Tirumala Srivari Mandar on Sunday. He worshiped Sri Venkateswara. CJI had reached Tirupati Balaji temple with his family. He was honored and given prasadam on behalf of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).
After entering the temple from Khas Vaikuntha Row, the CJI reached the sanctum sanctorum and worshiped Lord Venkatesh. After the darshan, CJI Chandrachud and his family were blessed by the priest of Ranganayakula Mandapam. TTD executive officer J Shyamala Rao gave him a portrait of Lord Venkatesh and prasad.
Earlier, the CJI had reached Sree Padmavathi Ammavaru Temple in Tiruchanur. Let us tell you that a few days ago, CM N Chandrababu Naidu had alleged that in the government of his predecessor Jaganmohan Reddy, cow fat was adulterated in the Prasad of Tirupati. He had said that after investigation, the report said that cow and pig fat were used in the ghee used to make prasadam.
Jaganmohan Reddy had also rejected the allegations and said that lies were being spread for political gains. This matter has now reached the Supreme Court and the hearing is going to take place on Monday. Subramanian Swamy and former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam President YV Subba Reddy have filed petitions in the court regarding this matter.
