The Indian cricket team defeated Zimbabwe by 100 runs in the second T20 match on Sunday. In the first match, the Indian team could score only 102 runs while chasing the target of 116 runs. But in the second T20 match, the Indian batsmen were in form and put up the biggest total against Zimbabwe. With this win, India has leveled the series 1-1. Batting first, the Indian team scored 234 runs for the loss of two wickets in 20 overs, thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s 100 and Rituraj Gaikwad’s 77 runs, in response to which the Zimbabwe team could score only 134 runs after losing all the wickets in 18.4 overs. In this way, India won by the biggest margin against Zimbabwe in T20.

In reply to 235 runs, Zimbabwe’s opening batsman Inonset Kia returned to the pavilion in the very first over. Kia could score only four runs in three balls. Brian Bennett scored 26 runs in 9 balls. Dion Mayers could not open his account. Jonathan was out after scoring 10 runs in 18 balls. Clive was out on zero. Wellington was run out on the score of one. Wesley Madhevere scored 43 runs in 39 balls. Luke Jongwe scored 33 runs in 26 balls. Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan took 3-3 wickets from India’s side. Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets and Sundar took one wicket.

Earlier, Abhishek, who was out for zero in four balls during his debut in the last match, played sensibly and shared a 137-run partnership for the second wicket with Rituraj Gaikwad (77 not out in 47 balls). Apart from these two, Rinku Singh played an unbeaten innings of 48 runs with five sixes in 22 balls. Gaikwad and Rinku shared an unbeaten 87-run partnership for the third wicket. Wellington Masakadza and Blessing Mujarbani got one wicket each.
