This is quite similar to Post or Reels, but for a limited time. The platform says that comments will follow the same time limit as stories and will disappear within 24 hours. However, it is not clear whether users will be able to archive them or not.

Now, the comments made by the users will be visible at one place. As we told, the good thing for the users is that the platform has taken care of their privacy. In the new feature, users can determine whether the comments on their stories are visible to everyone or not. This can be changed through visibility settings. The comments feature on Instagram Stories is included in the Creator Lab, which was added to the platform in recent months. There are many other new features the platform may add in the coming time. Last month, Instagram introduced new fonts, text animations, and the ability to add stickers to photos on Instagram Reels and Stories.
