NEET UG 2024 Result: NTA has released the result of medical entrance exam NEET UG 2024 center wise and city wise as per the order of the Supreme Court. The result can be checked on the official website of NTA NEET exams.nta.ac.in/NEET and neet.ntaonline.in. On Thursday, the Supreme Court had ordered NTA to declare the NEET result center wise and city wise. The apex court had also asked to keep the identity of the students confidential. The Supreme Court had said that to ensure that the paper leak is limited only to the centers of Patna and Hazaribagh, it is very important to analyze the complete data of the results. The bench had said that dummy roll numbers can be allotted to hide the identity. A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra gave this order while hearing the petitions seeking cancellation of results and conducting fresh examination on the basis of allegations of irregularities including NEET paper leak.
Chandrachud said that any order to conduct the exam afresh should be based on the firm conclusion that the sanctity of the entire NEET process has been affected. The apex court said in its order that the petitioners have stated that it would be appropriate that the results of NEET UG-2024 be published on the NTA website to bring some transparency on the marks obtained by the candidates center-wise.
Paper leaked in just 45 minutes, solving it is a distant dream: Supreme Court
The Supreme Court on Thursday termed as baseless the claims of the Central Government and NTA that the NEET-UG, 2024 paper leak was given to the students just 45 minutes before the start of the exam on May 5. The apex court said that it seems completely fictitious and far from facts that the papers were leaked, solved and also given to the students for memorization on the day of the examination. A bench of Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Justice J.B. Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra said that these claims of the Central Government and NTA are not only far from facts but are also baseless. The bench made this oral statement while hearing petitions seeking cancellation of the results declared on June 4 and holding of fresh examination on allegations of NEET-UG, 2024 paper leak and other malpractices.
Chief Justice Chandrachud orally observed that if the gap between the paper leak and the actual examination was long, it would indicate widespread and large-scale violations.
