Haryana Assembly Elections: After the Central Election Committee meeting on Thursday night regarding the Haryana Assembly elections, the BJP leadership has not yet released the list of candidates. State President Mohanlal Baroli has said that it may take a day or two for the list to come out, as the party is yet to decide on many seats.
The BJP, which is facing anti-incumbency in Haryana, is preparing to make major changes in the state, but the equations for many seats are complicated. In such a situation, all 90 seats were discussed in the Central Election Committee meeting on Thursday night, but sources say that a name could be decided only for about 20 seats. This is the reason why the meeting of the Central Election Committee also ended early and the big leaders have been asked to take a decision on all the seats soon by taking the organization along with the political and social equations.
To decide the candidates of Haryana BJP, the state leaders continued to hold meetings with the central election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday as well. According to sources, the party is also planning to field some of its big leaders in the elections. The name of parliamentary board member Sudha Yadav is also included in this list. The names of a Rajya Sabha MP and a former Lok Sabha MP are also there.
There is also a discussion of giving tickets to the families of some big leaders. Also, preparations have been made to cancel the tickets of many senior leaders, but the party is not taking any decision in haste to avoid protests and rebellion. Sources also say that the meeting of the Central Election Committee will not be held now, but the state and central leaders will decide the names together and discuss with the central leadership.
